Samsung Galaxy S23, with 100% Qualcomm AP
Qualcomm, a semiconductor chip design and supplier for smartphones, announced that the ratio of Qualcomm’s application to all Galaxy S23 products, which are scheduled to be released early next year, will increase to 100%.
According to Qualcomm’s fourth-quarter earnings report on the 7th, Chief Financial Officer (CF0) Akashi Falkiwala said, “We will install our best performance application processor (AP) on all Galaxy S230 products.”
Qualcomm’s AP product Snapdragon was 75% applied to the previous series of Galaxy S22, and some of Samsung Electronics’ own APs such as Exynos 2200 were also installed.
He also explained, “The rate of application of snapdragon of Galaxy premium models is increasing through multi-year contracts with Samsung Electronics in the mobile phone sector.”
AP, called the “brain of smartphones,” is a system semiconductor that is in charge of calculating mobile devices and driving multimedia, and is a key component that leads the performance of smart devices.
