YUGYEOM

Group GOT7 Yugyeom leaves JYP Entertainment.

According to a report by Spotify News on the 6th, JYP Entertainment (JYP) and Yugyeom, whose exclusive contract expires in January, plan to sign an exclusive contract with the hip-hop label AOMG. Yugyeom, who has been in contact with various management companies since last year over his move after the expiration of his contract with JYP, recently decided to become AOMG led by Park Jae-beom.

GOT7, which debuted in 2014, will expire its exclusive contract with its agency JYP this month. Amid rumors of another member Jin-young’s transfer to BH Entertainment recently, questions about GOT7’s future activities are rising as Yugyeom also moved to AOMG.

If the members have different agencies, they will have difficulty in smooth team activities. If GOT7 members continue to leave, it will be difficult to ensure smooth team activities.

JYP held individual meetings with all seven members of GOT7 and is discussing various options. Even if the members’ agencies are different, they are also considering being able to work together as GOT7. “We are discussing GOT7’s exclusive contract in various ways,” JYP told Spotify News.

GOT7 is a seven-member multinational boy band composed of JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom. He made his debut as a boy band of JYP that connects 2PM and received positive responses from the start. “Just Right,” “If You Do,” “Lullaby,” “Hard Carry,” “Nat By the Moon,” “Ai” and “Girls Girls Girls Girls” were greatly loved by global fans for their hit songs.

Last year, he won the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) World Wide Fence Choice Award, and the Asian Artist Awards won the Best Singer and the Performance of the Year Award for Performance of the Year.
