COVID-19 physiological problems? Reason for 50 days of delay
COVID-19 physiological problems? Reason for 50 days of delay (one line of pregnancy test)
Q: I’m a sophomore in high school. My menstrual cycle is irregular, but I haven’t had my period for 50 days now. I had two pregnancy test tests two weeks after my last boyfriend and I had a no-con vaginal assessment, and all of one line. Is it a delay due to stress? Or is it because of COVID-19? I usually wear a mask, but I’m so worried.
A: It’s too early to suspect COVID-19 infection just because of the delay in menstruation. It’s likely to be due to irregular menstrual cycles. Stress can also be the cause.
If your period continues to be delayed, please visit a nearby obstetrics and gynecology clinic for treatment.(We’ve already checked the pregnancy test twice, so the chances of pregnancy are slim.)
